Apple’s new operating system, iOS7, is available to download today. Is your app ready?
Yesterday, some of the our favorite apps at Connect Think debuted their new look with iOS7. This includes some of the most popular apps in the Apple App Store—Foursquare, OpenTable, Hipmunk, eBay, RunKeeper, and Camera+, just to name a few. The new version of Foursquare for iOS7 uses a lot of the new visual elements of iOS7 which makes for a cohesive visual experience between the app and the rest of the device’s operating system.
As users start to download and install iOS7 starting today, there’s no better time to make sure your app is a head of the curve. Apps that take advantage of the new features will be highly rated among users, review sites, and developers. Along with the redesigned user interface, there are many new features we can help you utilize. There are new multi-tasking features and enhanced sharing capabilities using the new AirDrop feature. Plus, Apple depreciated many of their APIs that developers use, so older apps might not function well with this new operating system. The last thing you want is for your users to open your app, only for it to crash immediately.
Contact Connect Think today to update your app with new features of iOS7.
